Description:
The 92283A were the first DAT tapes (DDS-1) sold by HP. The tapes came in a box of five. Each tape contained 60 meters of magnetic media with a storage capacity of 1.3 GB. The 92283B (box of 5) DAT tapes were introduced in 1992. These tapes were 90 meters in length and held 2.0 GB of data.
Collector's Notes:
The newer DDS-3 drives will read from and write to DDS-3, DDS-2 and DDS-1 tapes.
