Description:
The 2883 was the original high-capacity hard disc storage for HP 3000 and 2000 systems. The 2883 had a storage capacity of 23 MB and an average access time of 44.5 ms. This drive was mounted in a self-contained, rolling cabinet.
The 2883A also came in bundled configurations (racking, interface card, cables, etc) for 2000/1000 computers and for 3000 computers. The part numbers were 12965A and 30102A respectively.
