Description:
The 37201A allowed connection of HP-IB devices over long distances (in excess of the normal HP-IB cabling restrictions of a few meters). One 37201A converts the parallel HP-IB information to serial form and transmits it to the other 37201A which converts the information back to normal HP-IB format. Direct connection of HP-IB devices is possible via twisted pair cabling. The 37201A also has a modem for remote connection of HP-IB devices.
