Description:
The 26096A digital camera system (DCS) was designed as an input device for documents that would eventually be printed to 2680A or 2688A printers. Besides scanning in line art drawings, the scanner could also scan in signatures or logos and convert them to logo files for use with HP IFS/3000 or HP IDS/FORM.
The 26096A never appeared on HP's corporate price list and was only ever available as a factory special from the Boise Division.
The 26096A was obsoleted in October of 1985.
