PC Communicator

HP launched its end user magazine for business desktop computers in 1982. This publication was originally called the HP 125 Communicator. After the introduction of the 120, the name of the magazine was changed to HP Series 100 Communicator. It covered the 125, 120, 150, 150 II, 110 and Portable Plus. In September of 1985, the name was again changed. This time the name became HP PC Communicator to coincide with the launch of the new IBM-compatible Vectra.
These magazines contain information on: the computers, configurations, upgrades, accessories, programming strings, peripherals, software and optimizing the use of software. HP Series 100 and HP PC Communicator are especially good sources of information on part numbers. The part number for everything that was ever used with one of these computers can be found in the magazines.

The museum's collection of HP Series 100 and HP PC Communicator is only partially complete. Please contact us if you know how we might obtain a missing edition to help us complete our collection.
