The HP Way was alive and well in Australia when HP purchased its local distributor (Sample Electronics) in 1967. Since the 1980s, the original HP Australia employees have gathered for December reunion lunches. This informal group expanded significantly with the retirements of 2005 and 2006.
The retirees and alumni of HP/Agilent Australia now get together approximately twice per year to share a few bottles of wine and talk about the good old days. In November of 2006, the museum had the pleasure of hosting 40 members of this special club. The officers of the club are:
Heather Duncan (email@example.com)
Frank Freschi (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Bruce Marsh: (email@example.com)
If you are a retiree or long-serving employee of HP or Agilent Australia, please contact us if you would like to join our gatherings.

On a magnificent Autumn day in April 2007, HP-Agilent Alumni members enjoyed a barbeque and picnic lunch at the vineyard of long-time HP employee, Roger Morgan. The beautiful Yarra Valley at Seville is the home and workplace of vigneron Roger and his wife Ally who regularly host visitors for wine tastings and functions at their well appointed Morgans Vineyards with its expansive views across the valley to hills beyond. Click on the 'Photos' page for an idea of the relaxing setting and some of the Alumni enjoying the day. View photos.
On December 12, 2007, the retirees and alumni were hosted by HP for the annual Christmas lunch. This year we also celebrated HP's 40th year in Australia. On December 17, about 60 of the retirees and alumni got together for another lunch at DeFazios restaurant in Blackburn. With so many long lunches each week, it reminded everyone of the good old days working at HP! View photos.
On December 11, 2009, the retirees got together again at the old favorite watering hole - the Blackburn pub. View photos.
The retirees gather for their annual alumni party at the Blackburn pub on December 15, 2011. View photos.
