Description:

The 82162A was an HP-IL printer originally designed to connect to the HP-41 calculator (and subsequently connected to the 71 and 75). The 82162A replaced the 82143A. The 82162A could be operated with an AC power adaptor or operated remotely with its internal battery.

Collector's Notes:

We have a few of these printers at the museum. They all work great after you rebuild the battery pack (which will certainly be dead if it's an original). If you aren't going to use the printer for a few months or more, be sure to remove the battery pack. Otherwise, the battery will drain, and it won't charge to the same level on the next re-charge.
