Description:
The LaserJet IID had the same features as the LaserJet II, plus an additional paper tray. The LaserJet IID came standard with two-sided (duplex) printing capability. This printer was based on the Canon RX engine.
The LaserJet IID was the first laser printer for which HP designed and manufactured the formatter board. HP had designed (but not manufactured) the formatter board for the 2680A. HP did not design or manufacture the formatter boards for either the original LaserJet or the 2687/88.
The LaserJet IID was discontinued in June of 1991. It had been replaced by the LaserJet IIID.
