Description:
600 MB 2X CD drive with HP-IB interface. The 600/A used the CS/80 protocol.
The 600/A required a caddy with which to load and unload media. These caddies have the unfortunate habit of becoming separated from the main drive over time. Click here to see media loading for the 600/A (11 sec - 2.6 MB).
Collector's Notes:
This drive is a terrific little product. It connects to a wide range of HP computers including 300, 400, 700, 800 and 3000 Series computers. As of 2014, the two units we have at the museum are fully functional.
