The 7210A had the same construction as the 7202. Instead of requiring each point of an image to be sent for plotting, the 7210A required only two data coordinates to create a line. The 7210A had a maximum speed of 12 inches per second and a resolution (minimum pen step) of 0.001 inches (one thousandth of an inch).
The 7210A also came in a bundled configuration (interface card, cables, etc) for 2000/1000 computers. The part number was 12935A.
